Vibro-impact dynamics of large-scale geared systems

چکیده

This work is concerned with the analysis of vibro-impact responses observed in large-scale nonlinear geared systems. Emphasis laid on interactions between high-frequency internal excitation generated by meshing process, i.e. static transmission error and time-varying mesh stiffness, low-frequency external excitations. To this end, a three-dimensional finite element model pump equipped reverse spur gear pair (gear ratio $$1\!:\!1$$ ) built. The takes into account flexibility kinematic chain, bearings housing backlash nonlinearity. A reduced-order solved Harmonic Balance Method coupled to an arc-length continuation algorithm which allows one compute periodic solutions system. onset disappearance studied through computation grazing bifurcations. Results show that coupling stiffness term greatly modifies characteristics terms number periodicity impacts contact loss duration.
